Song Review #2.2: Javii, & PSR Gxssedout Pt. 1

Updated: Jan 28

As independent musicians ourselves, we know how important helpful feedback and support is, so we give each song a thorough review based on what they said their skill level was, and our opinion of the beat, cadence, lyrics, and replay value. Take a listen to these three artists and let us know what you would've rated them!

Javii- Good Good Good (6.77)

Javii is giving us all the vibes with this bop. With a The 1975 type sound, we can’t help but say this song is Good Good Good!

What is the song about?

I was tired of the dark place I was in and while I was feeling better, I was feeling some type of way about feeling good and released. I had to give myself permission to feel good. It's mental health inspired.

What would you like listeners to feel when listening to "Good Good Good"?

This is my most positive album so far.

Critiques: This track has a great tone with solid vocals. As a team we felt the mix could be better but it certainly doesn't kill the replay value. Ascendance approves this Good Good Good song!

PSR Gxssedout- Ca$h Sh*t (6.27)

PSR Gxssedout came with heat. The beat hits hard like his flow. Though the track is a short one, the message is easily understood.

What inspired the song?

This Song was based on a discontinued merchandise line and about my nephew Cassius "Cash" Ziegler.

Any specific lyrics you'd like to draw attention to?

"The shirt based on lil neph & thats the sh*t that they don't know about" "Focused on them blue I'm trying to get lil cash rich"

"This pressure got me coughing n****s worried mad sick"

Critiques: This is a catchy track with a poppin beat. We felt that a better mix would only make this track go harder! Ca$h Sh*t is Ascendance approved!

We encourage you to check out each of these artists either on our Ascendance Family Playlist or the links attached and let us know how you would rate each of these songs. See you next time with more indie reviews!
